Ancient Shechem and Joshua’s Standing Stone.

In Genesis 12:6 Abram came to Shechem, to the oak of Moreh. It was under the tree that Jacob buried the foreign gods of his household, Genesis 35:4. In Deuteronomy 11:29-32... When Yahweh your God shall bring you into the shall set the blessings on Mount Gerizim and the curse on Mount Ebal... Joshua 24:26 And Joshua wrote these words in the book of the law of God, and took a great stone, and set it up there under an oak, that was by the sanctuary of the Lord. Judges 9:46-49... It was told Abimelech that all the men of the tower of Shechem were gathered together...

The photograph below shows Mount Gerizim on the left and Mount Ebal on the right and on the far right of the picture is Joshua’s stand stone. This location is mentioned several times in the biblical historical narrative, the acoustics have been tested and you would be able to hear the recitation of the blessings and curse! Evidence for Joshua and Abraham can be seen in the British Museum, I took this photo in March 2019 and it gives yet another exam of the accuracy of the Bible.

On the left is Mount Gerizim and on the Right is Mount Ebal with Joshua’s standing stone far right.
